CEO extends deadline for feedback on reservation proposal

Jammu & Kashmir’s chief electoral officer on Friday extended the deadline for filing objections/ suggestions on draft reservation proposal of wards for urban local bodies.

Citing demand from political parties and other stakeholders, the CEO today extended the timeline for submission of feedback over the proposal till September 14.

“……Keeping in view the demand of various stakeholders and in order to give fair opportunity to all stakeholders to make their claims/ objections, the last date for receiving objections/ suggestions w.r.t. the draft reservation notification is hereby extended to September 14,” reads the notification issued by the office of CEO, a copy of which is in possession of news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO).

The CEO, in the order, said that several requests have been received from deputy commissioners as well as political parties and other stakeholders to extend the last date for filing objections/ suggestions on account of holidays and requirement of more time to look into the details of the proposal
