NATO will not help US if assistance needed, says Trump after meeting with Rutte

US President Donald Trump said after the meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte that the alliance will not help the United States if it needs assistance.


“NATO WASN’T THERE WHEN WE NEEDED THEM, AND THEY WON’T BE THERE IF WE NEED THEM AGAIN.

REMEMBER GREENLAND, THAT BIG, POORLY RUN, PIECE OF ICE!!!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.


After the talks with US President Donald Trump, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said that the US leader is disappointed in NATO allies over their reaction to the US-Israeli military operation against Iran.


“I totally understand his disappointment about that,” Rutte said when speaking about Trump’s reaction to the allies’ reaction.
