The trailer for Neha Dhupia and Gulshan Devaiah’s upcoming series Perfect Family has dropped giving audiences a charming first look at what promises to be a “quirky, chaotic, and deeply relatable Punjabi household.”
The show also features Manoj Pahwa, Seema Pahwa, and Girija Oak Godbole in key roles.
Created by Palak Bhambri and directed by Sachin Pathak, the series is set to premiere on the ‘JAR Series YouTube’ channel on November 27.
Expressing his enthusiasm, Gulshan Devaiah said in a press note, “Perfect Family is the kind of story that feels both entertaining and necessary. As Indians, we rarely speak openly about mental health, especially within our families. This show handles that discomfort with heart and humour.”
He also added, “Playing someone who’s trying to hold his family together while navigating therapy sessions was fun yet meaningful. I think audiences will recognise parts of themselves in every character and hopefully take away something real while enjoying a good laugh.”
Neha Dhupia added, “When I first heard the script, I immediately connected with how honest, funny, and relatable it was. Families can be messy, emotional, dramatic—and that’s what makes them beautiful.”
She added, “What I loved most is how the show talks about therapy without weighing it down; instead, it normalises it. Working with this cast was an absolute delight, and I can’t wait for audiences to meet this perfectly imperfect family.”
The series also marks Pankaj Tripathi’s debut as a producer.
