One teenager was killed and 162 people were injured as a result of an explosion and fire at a warehouse in Uzbekistan’s capital of Tashkent, the Uzbek Health Ministry said on Thursday.
Earlier in the day, the Uzbek Ministry of Emergencies said that a powerful explosion had occurred overnight at a warehouse in Tashkent and caused a fire.
“As a result of the emergency, a teenage boy born in 2006 died on the spot. The total number of people injured as a result of the incident is 163,” the ministry wrote on Telegram.
