Pakistan on Friday violated ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district, officials said.
They said Pakistani posts fired several rounds from small arms in the Nowgam sector around noon which was retaliated by Indian Army.
“No casualties or injuries occurred during the exchange of brief fire,” they said.
Officials added that the situation in the area remains peaceful and no further incidents were reported. The Army has not issued any official statement on the incident till late evening.
