PDP-BJP Govt’s 8 months narrative of callousness: NC

Banihal: National Conference District President Ramban Sajjad Shaheen on Saturday described PDP-BJP combination as a dismal failure, saying the past eight months of governance is a narrative of callousness.

“On all fronts the coalition government has miserably failed with problems of the people accumulating with each passing day”, Shaheen said in a statement to KNS, while launching the party membership drive at Harog and Sumer villages of the Banihal Assembly Constituency.

Shaheen said the administration has gone haywire due to lack of direction from the political executive. While the people are suffering on account of utility services, the development has been adversely hit. “The government which took off on the promise of deliverance is struggling to keep its flock together”, he said adding that there is a competition between the two partners to score points over one another. In the process, “Controversies are galore and the performance just zero”, he said and referred to divisive approach of the coalition government to divert public attention from its failures.

“The BJP is subtly furthering the RSS agenda with overt and covert support of the PDP”, Shaheen said while urging the people to maintain vigil and foil all attempts of dividing the society on religious or regional lines. He hoped the people will maintain their time tested unity, saying this will be a befitting response to the government that is hell bent on vitiating the atmosphere.

Shaheen lauded the enthusiasm among people during the membership drive and said the response is tremendous. “National Conference is further strengthening its base in nook and corner of the State”, he added. (KNS)
