Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kulgam Sahil Sarangal on Tuesday held a security review meeting during which various measures were discussed for ensuring peace and stability in South Kashmir’s Kulgam District.
The meeting chaired by the SSP at the conference Hall, discussed various security measures for ensuring peace and stability in the district, Police said.
The status of under-investigation cases related to Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, and Crime against Women and children were also reviewed during the meeting.
Addressing the officers, SSP Kulgam said that the Investigation officers, SHO’s and supervisory officers must take all the measures to improve the investigation and disposal of cases.
He directed that the quality of investigation and disposal of these cases needs improvement and stressed upon them to adopt the latest techniques and standard operating practices which would bring better results in the investigation process.
Moreover, officers were specifically directed to thoroughly examine the bail of assailants SSP Kulgam further reiterated the importance of strengthening the counter-insurgency and security grid of their respective jurisdictions to create a peaceful and incident-free atmosphere, officers were directed to take stringent actions against those involved in anti-social and anti-national activities.
