Srinagar: MLA Langate Er Rasheed has came down heavily on Mufti led coalition government for allegedly engineering the planed murderous assault on him in Bhaderwah and creating an atmosphere where political space for the rivals is being squeezed.ER RASHID

He, however, vowed that he will not succumb to the dirty pressure tactics and fake propaganda politics of PDP and BJP but will accelerate his campaign to expose the coalition government for its failures at all fronts.

According to a statement issued to KNS, soon after escaping murderous assault at Domail Bhaderwah Er Rasheed said that he was again interrupted by activists of Sang Parivar on the out skirts of Doda.

“These goons having full patronage of local administration. My entry to town was stopped for more than an hour and tried again to assault me.

“However the masses of Doda came out in hundreds and accompanied me in a procession to the town, forcing communal miscreants to go defensive,” he said.

He said participants were chanting slogans like ‘Jis Kashmir ko khoon se seencha woh Kashmir hamara hai’, “jis Jammu ko Khoon se seencha woh Jammu Hamara hai” and “Modi, Mufti hai hai”.

Speaking on the occasion Er Rasheed while appealing for communal harmony warned BJP and other right wing Hindu organisations from creating communal divide.

“Ideology of an individual and facts of the history cannot be changed by hooliganism or with barrel of the gun. In a civilised society we all need to accommodate and respect each other’s views and ensure that justice is done on all fronts irrespective of cost, creed and religion. Unless India doesn’t give up arrogance and resolve J&K dispute peace will always remain a distant dream,” he told gathering.

He said New Delhi should realize if thousands of people could hoist a Pakistani flag at CMs residence, isn’t ample proof that New Delhi has failed to win hearts and minds of people of state.”

While thanking people of Chenab Valley for listening his views at every place, he strongly condemned the role of local police at Bhaderwah and alleged that concerned ASP, DSP and SHO watched the attack as mute spectators.

“It was obvious that police and the miscreants of Sang Parivar had planned the attack jointly, that is why police didn’t utter even a single word to the attackers nor tried to stop them from stone pelting and physically assaulting me and my colleagues. The role of police was not less than that of criminals and facilitators,” he said.
