Srinagar: Hundreds of students from SKUAST-K here at Shuhama are protesting against the non availability of medical facilities for them.
Reports said that students have locked the gate of the SKUAST to protest.
The protesting students complained that they have been denied any medical facility by the authorities.
" One of our students died three months back in absence of any medical facility here, adding that last evening another student from faculty of veterinary sciences suffered a heart attack but there was no medical facility available" the students said.
They said that the patient was taken to SKIMS in a private cab as the ambulance driver was not available at that time, adding that the student is battling for life in a critical condition in ICU at SKIMS.
A top official said that he will look into the issue and will talk to students.
