An Sub Divisional Police Officer was injured during an ongoing encounter between security forces and terrorists in Suffain area of Kathua.
Official sources told news agency JKNS that, security forces launched a cordon and search operation in the area following specific inputs about the presence of terrorists.
As the forces zeroed in on the suspected location, they came under fire, leading to a fierce exchange of gunfire.
During the exchange, an SDPO Border Dysp Dheeraj Katoch got injured during firing with terrorist at the Suffain area of Kathua.
Anti-terror operation was on-going, and additional reinforcements have been rushed to the spot.
