In view of the upcoming Republic Day celebrations, security has been significantly heightened along the Jammu-Pathankot National Highway and in border areas.
Authorities have implemented additional measures to ensure a smooth and safe observance of the national event.
Virender Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Samba talking to reporters as per news agency KINS said, “This is a very important day. While security arrangements are always in place, extra measures have been taken given the significance of this important day.”
Singh further emphasized that additional checkpoints have been established, patrolling has been intensified, and the frequency of cordon-and-search operations has been substantially increased across key areas. These enhanced security measures are aimed at ensuring public safety and preventing any potential threats during the national celebrations.(KINS)
