Amritsar: Shiv Sena leader Sudhir Suri was shot dead in broad daylight during a protest here in Punjab on Friday.
The incident happened on Majeetha Road outside Gopal Mandir where Suri and his other party colleagues were staging a protests after some broken idols were found in a garbage.
There was a crowd outside the temple when someone came and fired from point blank range, killing Suri who died instantly.
