Tanghdar Gunfight: Three Militants Killed

Three militants have been killed in the ongoing gunfight between army and militants in Tangdhar region of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, officials said.
The gunfight had erupted in the region early today morning after militants attacked an army base near LoC in Tangdhar.
A JCO of the army and a civilian were also killed while a Colonel has been injured in the firefight so far.
A senior army officer of Northern Command told Greater Kashmir that three militants have so far been killed in the gunfight.
He said they have retrieved three bodies and recovered three AK 47 rifles from their possession.
However, he didn’t reveal the identity of the deceased militants.
Earlier, Jaish-e-Muhammad militant outfit claimed the responsibility of the attack.
