Two girls were killed and ten passengers injured when the private travels bus in which they were travelling overturned at Kodumur village in Kurnool district on Thursday.
Police said the accident occurred when the driver of the bus was overtaking a lorry at a high speed on the highway.
The bus, carrying 40 passengers, was enroute to Adoni from Hyderabad.
The deceased Lakshmi (13) and Govardhini (8) from Hyderabad, died instantaneously.
The injured were admitted to Government General Hospital (GGH) in Adoni where the condition of one of the passenger is said to be very critical.
