The US Central Command (CENTCOM) said on Saturday that the armed forces of the United States struck more than 90 military targets on Iran’s Kharg Island.
US President Donald Trump threatened late on Friday to strike Iran’s oil infrastructure on Kharg Island if freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz is impeded.
“Last night, U.S. forces executed a large-scale precision strike on Kharg Island, Iran. The strike destroyed naval mine storage facilities, missile storage bunkers, and multiple other military sites. U.S. forces successfully struck more than 90 Iranian military targets on Kharg Island, while preserving the oil infrastructure,” CENTCOM said on X.
