Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday directed Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council and Department of Youth Services and Sports to popularise sports among the youth so that they don’t indulge in drug use or get into crime.
Lieutenant Governor was chairing a high level meeting at Civil Secretariat on Wednesday during which he reviewed sports activities across Jammu & Kashmir.
He directed J&K Sports Council and Department of Youth Services & Sports to use the power of sports to prevent crime and drug use among the youth.
The Lt Governor took a detailed assessment of the efforts for engagement of 35 lakh youth in sports.
