Police arrest burqa clad OGW Tariq ‘responsible’ for attack

Pulwama: Two civilians including a woman have been injured in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Friday afternoon.
Eye witnesses told The Legitimate that civilians got injured when militants attempted to target the patrolling party of Special Operation Group in main market of the town. However, in an exchange of fire two pedestrians Adil Ahmad and Rathi sustained bullet injures and were evacuated to the local hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, the area has been cordoned off and the search operation has begun to flush out the militant responsible for attack. An OGW Tariq Ahmad was also arrested who was allegedly facilitating militants well planned attack on police party.
“Around two militants were in Tata Sumo, assisted by OGW Tariq Ahmad of Trach village moving around in Burqa planning an attack on SOG party. But we had inputs already received and we foiled their attempt,” said the police officer, wishing not to be named.
“However, to avoid collateral damage we maintained restrain in the busy market after a brief exchange of fire”.
Meanwhile, the attack created panic among people who left their businesses open and ran for their lives.
