4 killed in road accident in north Afghanistan

Four people were killed in a road crash in northern Afghanistan’s Baghlan province, provincial police spokesperson Shir Ahmad Burhani said Thursday.


A Corolla car carrying four people including a woman and a child hit a tanker in the province’s Doshi district. All commuters died on the spot, Burhani said.


In another development last week, three people were killed with four others injured in a road accident in the northern Jawzjan province.


More than 1,600 people were killed with over 4,000 others injured due to road accidents in Afghanistan over the past 11 months, showed data from the country’s traffic police department.
