Security forces arrested a terrorist associate in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said on Saturday.
They said that in a major breakthrough, Pulwama Police, in a joint operation with 44 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) Shadimarg and CRPF’s 183 Battalion, apprehended a terrorist associate.
The operation was carried out at Qasbayar on CB Nath Road, where the joint team arrested suspect Mohd Umar Malik, a resident of Kachipora.
Police said that during the search, security forces recovered incriminating material from his possession, including one Star pistol, a pistol magazine, two live rounds, and two hand grenades.
Police have registered a case under FIR No. 75/2026 at Police Station Rajpora under relevant sections of the Arms Act and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). Further investigation into the matter is underway.
