Raising an alarm on the rising number of killings of Kashmiri Pandits in the valley which has forced many to flee to other towns, AAP’s Chief Spokesperson and Saurabh Bhardwaj lashed out at the Centre for its “failure” to protect the minority group.
“People are fleeing out in terror of the consequences. Centre’s policy on rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits has proven to be a colossal failure. AAP vehemently condemns Centre’s failure and incompetence in providing safety to Kashmiri Pandits,” he said.
“Not only has the current Central Government failed to strengthen the rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits in the valley, they could not protect the Kashmiri Pandits and Hindus already residing in the valley,” Bhardwaj added.

This year, the instances of murders of Kashmiri Pandits, Hindus, and those working in the Kashmir Government has increased to such a devastating extent, that almost everyday some tragic news or the other is being published in the papers.
The situation today has grown so dire, that the people who were provided rehabilitation by the previous central government, are so afraid and terrorised that they are fleeing Kashmir for survival.,” he said.
“The Centre’s policies on the situation of Kashmir have just fallen flat today. We’re witnessing a huge policy failure. The Aam Aadmi Party aims to register its protest against the failure of the Central Government on Kashmir at every possible level,” the MLA added.
