Ajit Pawar to be oppn leader in Mah assembly

Former Deputy Chief Minister and senior NCP leader Ajit Pawar will be the new leader of the Opposition in Maharashtra state assembly.

Eknath Shinde-BJP led government won the vote of confidence in the special session of the Assembly on Monday.

In the vote of confidence , the BJP-Shinde faction got 164 votes. On the other hand, Maha Vikas Aghadi got 99 votes.

Now, the leadership of the Opposition in the Assembly has been transferred to the NCP and the name of former Deputy Chief Minister Mr Pawar has been sealed.

A similar letter has been issued by the Nationalist Congress Party.

On behalf of NCP, a letter given to the assembly speaker for the appointment of Mr Pawar.

Earlier, Devendra Fadnavis was the Leader of Opposition in the Assembly.
