Amid Tight Security Second Batch Of Pilgrims Left For Yatra

Srinagar: Despite inclement weather conditions in Kashmir the second batch of pilgrims left for the Amarnath Yatra today.

Amid the slogans of ‘Bam Bam Bhole’, the pilgrims left the base camp in a cavalcade of 114 vehicles early morning today.

Out of 3434 pilgrims, 2679 were males, 592 females, three children, 158 sadhus and two transgender. The batch was escorted by CRPF convoy to avoid any untoward incident enroute shrine.
