Date:

As part of National Road Safety Month, the Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Rajouri Rajesh Gupta today conducted a road safety awareness drive for new driving aspirants at the Nowshera Trial Ground.

During the programme, the aspirants were imparted essential tips on safe driving practices to minimize road accidents and promote responsible road behaviour.

The ARTO emphasized the importance of avoiding over-speeding, refraining from the use of mobile phones while driving and mandatory use of helmets while riding two-wheelers.

Rajesh Gupta stressed that adherence to traffic rules and safety norms are crucial not only for the safety of drivers but also for pedestrians and other road users. He urged the aspirants to imbibe disciplined driving habits from the very beginning and to act as ambassadors of road safety in society.

The initiative forms part of a series of awareness activities being organized across the district to inculcate a culture of safe and responsible driving under the aegis of National Road Safety Month.(KINS)
