Bihar elections: Polling begins in 49 assembly seats amid tight security arrangement

Patna: Polling began in 49 assembly constituencies at 0700 hrs amid unprecedented security arrangements for first phase of Bihar assembly elections here this morning.
An estimated electorate of 1,35,35,586 are expected to exercise their franchise at 12886 booths spread over 10 districts , five of them in naxalite dominated Munger, Jamui, Lakhisarai, Nawada and Banka districts.(UNI)
