Washington, May 18 (UNI) Pakistan Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari met his US counterpart Antony Blinken at the UN Headquarters in New York during his maiden visit to the United States here on Wednesday.
Bilawal is in the USA at the invitation of US Secretary of State Blinken to attend the ministerial meeting on the “Global Food Security Call to Action” to be held at the United Nations here on Wednesday.
Blinken said that US wants to have better relations with Pakistan during his talks with Bilawal which also included talks on regional security.
The US official said the focus of the talks was to strengthen bilateral economic, trade ties and regional security.
Blinken said that he was happy to work with the Pakistani government and Foreign Minister Bilawal.
Bilawal on the other hand expressed his determination to further strengthen the broad-based and multifaceted Pak-US bilateral relations.
