BJP reviews organisational work in Kathua

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday held an organisational review meeting of Kathua district at the party headquarters in Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, with a focus on strengthening the party’s grassroots structure and public outreach.

The meeting was presided over by J&K BJP President and Rajya Sabha MP Sat Sharma CA, along with BJP General Secretary (Organisation) Ashok Koul. It was attended by J&K BJP Vice-President and District Prabhari Kathua Priya Sethi, BJP General Secretary Baldev Singh Billawaria, General Secretary Gopal Mahajan, District President Kathua Updesh Andotra, besides senior leaders, elected representatives and office bearers of the district.

Deliberations centred on booth-level activation, enhancing mandal efficiency and structured public engagement to make the organisation more responsive to people’s aspirations. The interaction aimed at reinforcing a strong two-way connection between the party, its workers and the general public.

Addressing the gathering, Sat Sharma said the BJP’s core strength lies in its disciplined cadre and deep grassroots connect, which sets it apart from other political parties. He said the party believes in performance-based and accountable politics, rather than empty slogans or misleading promises. He urged party workers to act as effective links between the government and the people to ensure that welfare schemes and development initiatives launched under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi reach the last mile.

Sat Sharma reiterated the BJP’s commitment to addressing issues related to infrastructure, public security, education, employment and overall regional development. He called for sustained public interaction to resolve genuine issues in a time-bound manner and to counter misinformation and false narratives spread by opposition parties.

Ashok Koul reviewed the organisational activities undertaken in recent months and discussed upcoming party programmes in the district. He stressed the importance of organisational discipline, coordination among various morchas and departments, and timely execution of assigned responsibilities. He also urged leaders to further strengthen the BJP’s grassroots network through continuous public service and engagement.(KINS)
