Businessman and social activist Fayaz Ahmad Dar, who also heads the Civil Society Chinabal Pattan, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) along with several supporters during a joining programme held at Church Lane in Srinagar on Sunday.
The induction ceremony was attended by BJP General Secretary (Organisation), J&K, Ashok Koul, State Secretary Mudasir Wani, Media Incharge Adv. Sajid Yousuf Shah, All Cells Co-Incharge and Baramulla Prabhari Bilal Parray, District President Baramulla Ghulam Hassan, and other senior party leaders.
Welcoming the new entrant, Ashok Koul said the BJP continues to attract individuals committed to public service and development. He expressed confidence that Dar’s experience in social work and community engagement would strengthen the party’s organisational base in North Kashmir, particularly in Baramulla district.
Speaking after joining the party, Fayaz Ahmad Dar said he was impressed by the BJP’s vision of inclusive development, good governance and nation-building. He pledged to work for the welfare of the people and contribute to strengthening the party at the grassroots level.
Other BJP leaders also welcomed Dar and his supporters, expressing hope that their induction would further expand the party’s outreach and organisational network in the region.(KINS)
