Srinagar: The Crime Branch and Vigilance Organization have sought report from the Director Technical education over allegations of corruption against Superintendent ITI /IMC Secretary.
The report was sought after the complainant from Pattan town of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district alleged that Superintendent ITI Pattan has not only swindled a large chunk of public money illegally but has also indulged in nepotism and corruption since past couple of years in the institution.
The complainant has also alleged that the said officer mislead him by providing wrong information under Right to Information Act.
“The complainant Mushtaq Ahmed Najar has alleged the money meant for the upgradation and purchasing of goods for the Institute has fraudulently been swindled by the Superintendent ITI. Besides this, they said officer according to complainant has also appointed some of his relatives in the institute,” the complainant reported.
Director Technical Education Shabnam Kamli said that it is a serious matter and they have also started investigation at departmental level. “We have been collecting all the data and other documents and will soon submit them before Crime Branch and Vigilance Organization,” she said adding that if proved guilty, the officer will face the music.
When contacted Superintendent ITI/IMC Showkat Anwar Rather told CNS that the complaints registered by a complainant against him in Crime Branch and VoK are weak as all these allegations are baseless and malicious. (CNS)
