Chinar Yuva Centre, Baramulla, gets best CSR Award

The Chinar Yuva Centre, Baramulla, established by the Army’s 19 Infantry Division under the 19 Artillery Brigade, has been honored with the prestigious best CSR Award for 2025 at the ASM CSR Summit held in Pune.


This award recognizes the center’s exceptional efforts in empowering communities through skill development.


The award marks a significant milestone in Chinar YUVA’s mission to uplift marginalized communities, a statement said.


“Through its impactful programs, the center has fostered self-reliance and contributed to national growth by addressing unemployment and social inequality,” it added.


Funded by the ONGC and implemented by the Aseem Foundation, the Chinar Yuva Centre has successfully equipped large number of youth in the Valley with essential skills for sustainable livelihoods.
The initiative focuses on bridging the gap between education and employment by offering diverse training in technical trades, digital literacy, entrepreneurship and soft skills.


“We are honored to receive this recognition, which reflects our dedication to empowering youth and driving sustainable development,” said a representative of the Chinar Yuva Centre.


This collaborative initiative by the Indian Army, ONGC and Aseem Foundation highlights the power of public-private partnerships in creating meaningful change.


“By prioritizing education and skill development, the program has become a cornerstone for building a stronger, self-reliant community in the region,” the statement said.


Recently, eight girls enrolled at Chinar Yuva Centre from far-off areas of Baramulla got the placement at TATA Wistron in Bangalore.
