Cong trying to push country into darkness: Amit Shah

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday accused the Congress-led UPA of trying to push the country into darkness during its rule and said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has worked to make India a safe and prosperous nation in the last 10 years.

Addressing a public meeting here, Shah said Modi has worked to raise the flag of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the country in the world. People are now all geared up to make Modi the Prime Minister of the country for the third straight time. However, Shah cautioned the party workers that for this to happen, they would have to ensure every voter goes out to vote.

“We have prepared an action plan, which is a bit difficult, but it is not difficult for BJP workers, and they do hard work well,” he said. Shah said the action plan has to reach the doorstep of the voter and carry Modi’s message.

He alleged that the Congress-led UPA government, which was in saddle for ten years from 2004 to 2014, made the future of the people dark. On the contrary, Modi worked hard to change every sector in the last ten years.

Shah said during this time Modi worked to secure the country, which earlier used to be rocked by bomb blasts. Under Modi’s leadership, the work of eliminating terrorists was done by going inside Pakistan and conducting surgical strikes.

He said Modi has brought the country from the 11th to the fifth place in the global economy. Shah exuded confidence that if Modi becomes Prime Minister for the third time, then India will become the third-largest economy in the world,

He claimed that the BJP would win the coming Lok Sabha polls by bagging 70 percent of the votes.
