“Modis’ 'Make in India' is 'Breaking India'”

Jammu: Jammu and Pardesh Congress Committee has condemned the attack on former diplomat Sudheendra Kulkarni, whose face was smeared with black paint on Monday allegedly by Shiv Sena supporters during a book release event in Mumbai.

In a statement issued to KNS by Congress leaders including Ghulam Nabi Monga, G. M Saroori, Haji Abdul Rashid Dar, Mohammad Amin Bhat, Usman Majid, Choudhary Akram, Farooq Andrabi, Dr Shahzad Aasim and others said that Sena's actions were "highly deplorable".

The Congress leaders have also targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the incident, saying the top BJP leader's 'Make in India' initiative is nothing but 'Breaking India' campaign.

"After the BJP came to power from the last 18 months, we have seen an increase in cases of intolerance, this is against democracy," Congress leaders said and added that we condemn the attack and the act was "totally unacceptable". (KNS)
