mirSrinagar: Congress party is capable of defeating the forces hell bent upon to harm the age old tradition of Communal harmony and brotherhood in the State, said state congress chief Ghulam Ahmad Mir.

 In a statement issued to KNS, Mir said that being the only unifying and secular force of the Country, Congress Party has always safeguarded the integrity and sovereignty of the Country by uniting the communities belonging to every religion or region. “Congress party represents aspirations of the people in all the three regions,” he said while addressing a workers meeting of Zadibal Constituency at Jenab Saheb Soura, in Srinagar district today.

 JKPCC Chief said that Congress party won’t allow any group or force to mislead the people. It (Congress) is capable of defeating the designs of those forces aiming to harm the secular fabric of the State and Country, he said.

 Mir said that Congress would continue to fight and defeat the designs of anti peace and anti social elements, who pose a great threat to integrity of the State. We will neither compromise on the interests and aspirations of the people nor would allow any group or force to play with the emotions of people, he said.

 PCC Chief expressed confidence that Politics of polarization and exploitation won’t deter the Party (Congress) to fight against elements aiming to create divisions among the communities in the State and Country, he said.

 PCC Chief further said that Congress believes that every section or group living in the country or State are same and have equal right to live with dignity. He said any move to alienate the masses by exploiting them would be defeated and dealt sternly, he warned.

 Expressing serious concern over the efforts by some disgruntled elements in the Society to divide the people on Religion or Regional basis, PCC Chief said that efforts are being made to create an atmosphere of uncertainty and sense of insecurity among the people. He cautioned the people to remain vigilant and defeat the designs of forces attempting to create wedge and misunderstanding between the communities by misleading them on the name of religion or region, he said.

 Describing communal harmony, brotherhood and togetherness of the State as its unchanging identity, PCC chief appealed the people not to get influenced by politics of exploitation and defeat the designs of those forces playing with the emotions of people aiming to get benefitted, he said.

 Describing PDP BJP Coalition Govt as complete failure, PCC Chief accused the PDP BJP coalition for failing to address main issues confronting people in the regions, BJP is misleading people in one way and PDP in other way, both the parties are responsible for the present discord and uncertainty prevailing in the State, he said.

 Referring to the issues confronting people in District Srinagar, PCC Chief said that PDP BJP coalition has not only ignored people of District Srinagar; but in other Districts also, he said there was a need for comprehensive employment package for the educated unemployed youth of the State, as unemployment has risen considerably across the

 State, which is a matter of great concern for all of us? The youth of the State feel isolated and ignored due to wrong policies of Coalition Govt, he said.

 PCC Chief sought clarity from the Govt over Relief Package to Flood and rain affected people of the State, he asked the Coalition Govt to clear its position on the rising unemployment and issues of greater public importance like relief rehabilitation, regularization of Daily Wagers, Casual Labors, it is.

 Speaking on the occasion MLC & vice President G. N. Monga urged the people not to get moved by the designs of anti social and anti peace elements aiming to create division in the Society. He emphasized the need for togetherness and brotherhood and maintaining age old tradition of communal harmony, as that will only defeat those elements hell bent upon to vitiate the atmosphere of peace in the State, he said.
