Lucknow, April 25 (UNI) As per the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the construction of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University will be finalised within the year 2022, confirmed the Uttar Pradesh government officials here on Monday.
The government is aiming to provide proper treatment to every patient and reduce the number of referral cases through the establishment of the grand medical university.
The Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University has also been made the affiliation body for various medical college courses across the state. So far, the esteemed university has affiliated 58 MBBS, 25 MDMS, DM and MCh, 335 B.Sc Nursing, 86 Post Basic B.Sc Nursing, 43 M.Sc Nursing and 119 Paramedical courses from different medical colleges.
The university has also helped in increasing the facilities for the students.
In the first phase of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University, affiliation has been given to other medical colleges. The university is being built at the cost of over Rs 200 crore, for which the Government has allocated 50 acres of land in Chak Ganjaria. An administrative block will also be built on an area of 20 acres.
Vice-Chancellor Dr AK Singh stated that a grand auditorium will be set up inside the campus, in which 2,500 people can sit at a time. The university is also planning to provide accommodation for Vice Chancellors, doctors, officers, and other employees on the campus.
With the establishment of Atal Medical University, the path of affiliation of private medical colleges, paramedical colleges, dental, and nursing colleges will become easier.
Importantly, the university will also work in the area of Affiliation, Assessment, Admission, and Enrollment for all medical courses.
