COVID-19 Claims Ten More Lives In J&K, Toll Reaches 218

Srinagar: COVID-19 on Thursday claimed lives of 10 more patients taking the toll of deaths in J&K to 218.

Officials said that the 10 deaths include a 65-year-old man from Khajabagh, a 65-year-old man from Sirhama Anantnag, a 60-year-old woman from Sanbari Kokernag, a 67-year-old male from Bathra Budgam, a 75-year-old male from Batamallo Srinagar, a 60-year-old male from Karnah Kupwara, a 75-year-old male from Nishat Srinagar, a 62-year-old male from Khanka e Mowla Srinagar, a lady from Shopian, a 75-year-old lady from Sonwar Srinagar.

Officials from Baramulla said that a 65-year-old man from Baramulla who was suffering from Hypertension, B/L CAP, type l Respiratory failure, severe ARDS died at SKIMS at 6:40 am.

Officials from Anantnag said that a 65-year-old male from Sirhama having multiple problems died at SKIMS on Thursday.

They said that a 60-year-old woman from Sanbari Kokernag was tested positive 3 days after her death.

Officials said that 67 year male from Bathra Budgam who was admitted on 28 June who was suffering from community-acquired pneumonia died at SKIMS.

They added that a patient from Batamallo was admitted on 11 July and was suffering from multiple ailments while as a patient from Karnah was suffering from bilateral pneumonia.

With 10 more deaths, the death toll in J&K has reached 218 including 18 from Jammu division and 200 from Kashmir division. (PTK)
