Srinagar: Two horrific incidents of minors being gangraped have sparked outrage over the safety of women in the national capital.
NDTV reported that two incidents of gangrape took place in Delhi on Friday. In one case a two-and-a-half-year-old was raped in the western part of the city and the other of a five- year-old was gangraped in the eastern part.
The report quoted the mother of the girl who was gangraped in west Delhi as saying that the accused kidnapped her when she was watching a 'Ramleela' performance.
In the second case, the five-year old was allegedly raped by a neighbour along with his friends.
Delhi Commission for Women chief Swati Maliwal reacted strongly to reports of two alleged incidents of gangrape in the capital, saying that such incidents were 'shameful.'
