DGP Nalin Prabhat expresses grief over demise of former J&K DGP Ghulam Jeelani Pandit

Director General of Police, Nalin Prabhat, expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Ghulam Jeelani Pandit, IPS (Retd.), the fourth Director General of Jammu and Kashmir Police, who breathed his last on 21 September 2025 at the age of 92.

Born on 22 February 1933, Pandit Sahab left behind a legacy of integrity, humility, and dedicated public service.

Paying tribute, the current DGP, along with officers and personnel across all ranks, conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for peace to the departed soul. Senior officers remembered Pandit as a leader of rare simplicity and honesty, whose principles and conduct continue to inspire generations of police personnel.

DG-P Nalin Prabhat prayed for strength for the family to bear this irreparable loss and honored Pandit’s enduring contributions to the J&K Police force.(KINS)
