Div Com Reviews Progress of Works in Bandipora, Winter Supply to Gurez

BANDIPORA: Rs. 20.07 crore against an availability of Rs. 40.19 crore have been expended so far under District Annual Plan in Bandipora district this fiscal, achieving 49.95 per cent of the target.

This was stated during a review meeting held under the chairmanship of Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon. The meeting was attended by District Development Commissioner Bandipora, Sajad Hussain, sectoral and district level Officers and Civil Society members.

The meeting was informed that Rs. 5.37 crore have been utilized under MGNREGA, Rs. 3.85 crore under RMSA, Rs. 3.51 crore under SSA, Rs.1.79 crore under SGSY/NRLM, Rs.1.03 crore in PHE  etc in the district. It was told that 38. 56 Km road length has been macadamized under R&B sector, 14.98 Km covered under WBM G-1, G-2 and G-3 besides 129 bridges and culverts have been constructed in the district.

While reviewing the winter stock to Gurez,  it was given out that 25800 quintals of Rice, 13900 quintals   of Atta, 1930 quintals of sugar, 1.36 lakh litres of Kerosene Oil and 6350 LPG Cylinders have been dispatched to Gurez area so far.

The Divisional Commissioner also reviewed the work done with regard to summary revision of electoral rolls. He also listened to various public grievances and demands and directed the concerned officers to mitigate them on priority.
