Patna, June 9 (UNI) Outrightly rejecting the logic of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for promoting education to control population growth, BJP state unit president Sanjay Jaiswal said even after development the state was lagging far behind only because the population growth remained unchecked here.

Through a post on his social media account of Facebook ,Jayaswal turned down the concept that by promoting education among girls the population growth can be stabilized .

He said that national population density is 464 which was 382 ten years ago whereas in Bihar the population density is 1224 which is three times of the national average. This issue cannot be

handled sitting idle.

The BJP leader suggested to evolve some strategy just like cycle scheme for girls which brought them in the field of education covering the gap of two generations in just 2 years.

Referring to the financial assistance of Rs 6000 on having two children Jaiswal said that certain facilities like considerable economic assistance, insurance for family, incentive during admission in school should be given on having one child.

The BJP leader said that the country has attained static population growth whereas in Bihar it was still three times the national average and the government was not preparing any strategy to check it.

He claimed that the states in South India stabilized the population growth during decade of 80 following which the development was visible there but Bihar even after it’s massive development was still lagging far behind.
