Govt Dropped Karra’s Name From Dignitaries list for PM

Srinagar: The state government had deliberately dropped the name of senior PDP leader and Member of Parliament Tariq Hamid Karra following his tirade against his party for forming government with BJP.

Sources said that the government is angry with Karra that his name was dropped from the list of the state dignatories whose names were presented before the Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his rally on November 7.

As per protocol, the government was bound to provide Karra’s name, since he is an MP, in the list of dignitaries whose name were to be mentioned by the PM.

“The dropping of Karra’s name was done deliberately by the government. When senior PDP leader and MP Muzaffar Hussian Baig was mentioned by the PM even though he did not attend the rally, why Karra’s name was not enlisted,” sources said, adding it indicates the coalition is alienating him. (KNS)
