Varanasi, June 2 (UNI) Head of Sri Vidya Mutt Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati on Thursday announced that he will go to ‘Sri Adi Visheshwara’ in Kashi Vishwanath-Gyanvapi mosque complex on June 4 to worship the deity from Hindu side.
In a press conference here, Swami Avimukteshwaranand said the Shivling-like structure which has been found in the wazookhana after a very long period can not be left without daily worship as it is God Adi Visheshwara.
Swami Avimukteshwaranand, disciple of Shankaracharya Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati of Dwarka Sharada Peeth, said that he was asked by his guru to visit the Gyanvapi mosque and arrange for daily worship of the Shivling. He said that they cannot wait for the court’s decision as God Adi Visheshwara has appeared.
On a question that he may be stopped by police to reach the Gyanvapi mosque complex, he said that he will apprise his guru Swami Swaroopanand Sarswati with the matter. Further course of action will be decided after consulting Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati.
Swami Avimukteshwaranand said that it is a secret how he will reach near the Shivling. It may be noted that the Muslim side has been claiming that its a water fountain and not a Shivling .
Swami Avimukteshwaranand even advocated for a need for amendments in the Places of Worship Act (Special Provision) 1991 in the Parliament.
