Pertinently, the lockdown was announced by the administration following the spurt in cases and had also announced that the relaxation in the lockdown will be given from the 28th of July for three days in wake of Eid-ul-Adha, which will be celebrated on August 01.

However, Division Commissioner Kashmir, PK Pole has earlier told KNO that the DCs have been authorized to take the final call regarding the lockdown in their respective districts.

In the meantime, authorities in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district have decided to extend the lockdown till 06:00 AM of July 28.
