Israel today announced it was teaming with India to lead an unprecedented anti-Covid cooperation to develop a rapid testing equipment that could give results within 30 seconds. In the coming weeks, Israel’s ministries of foreign affairs, defence and health will lead the cooperation project.
A special flight from Tel Aviv to New Delhi is set to carry a defence research and development team that has been working with the India’s chief scientist and the DRDO to develop the rapid testing kit, the Israel Embassy said here.
The flight will also bring emerging Israeli technologies for combatting Covid-19, donated by the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs and private sector to boost India’s response to the virus outbreak. The plane will also deliver mechanical ventilators. – TNS
