Srinagar: Expressing deep anguish over the murder of Zahid Rasool Bhat, Lashkar-e-Toiba chief Mehmood Shah has said that India’s oppression and tyranny is hitting its limit.

In an emailed statement to KNS, Shah said that the treatment meted out to Muslims across India and in areas under its control was “unacceptable”. He also condemned the thrashing of separatist leaders like Yasin Malik, Shabir Ahmad Dar, Ahsan Untoo and others and said that the “time has come when every individual in Valley have to pick up gun to fight Indian oppression and give Indian army a befitting reply through gun and set Kashmir and Jammu free from Indian occupation”.

Shah in the statement took strong exception of the silence maintained by International Human rights organization over the situation of Muslims in India. He said that unless Muslims can’t stand up for themselves, nobody else can come to their rescue.

The LeT chief said that oppression and tyranny of India was hitting its limit, and Modi government was giving patronage to the Hindu fanatics. He urged separatist leadership to think beyond traditional Hartal politics and lead the nation through innovative programmes. Shah appealed youth to stand up and defend the India’s aggression. (KNS)
