Welcoming the talks between the National Security Advisors of India and Pakistan in Bangkok, the Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) chairman Shabir Ahmad Shah on Monday said until Kashmiris are not taken on board, the dialogue between the two nations will not yield any meaningful results."Though the talks between Indo-Pak NSAs in Bangkok will have positive impact on the relations between the two nations, the leadership of both countries should not forget that until the prime stakeholders – the Kashmiris – aren't involved in dialogue process, they can't reach any meaningful conclusion," Shabir Ahmad Shah said in a statement to KNS.

Shah said for the resolution of Kashmir issue, it is imperative upon India to accept the Kashmir as a dispute. He said it is a fact that this issue is to be resolved through the implementation of UN resolutions or through tripartite dialogue.

"If both nations are sincere in improving the mutual ties, they must resolve the long pending dispute thereby contribute in establishing a peaceful and progressive South Asia. Otherwise, more than 150 rounds of talks have been held but to no avail," he said. He reiterated that Pakistan Prime Minster Nawaz Sharif's 4-point formula can pave way in this regard and help resolve the issue at earliest.

Meanwhile, a DFP spokesperson said that Shabir Ahmad Shah was again put under house arrest shortly after he returned from 3-day Jammu visit.Terming it as "state terrorism", the spokesperson said after released from 25-day police detention, Shah immediately visited Zainakote and Bijbehara to pay tribute to martyrs. "Then marched to Jammu to express condolence with bereaved family of Late Ved Bhasin and to meet the Pandit brethren and Muslims of the area," he said.

He said the pro-freedom leader is frequently kept under house arrest just to keep him away from meeting people. "This is a cowardly act on part of authorities against the resistance leadership."

Giving details of Shabir Ahmad Shah's detention period, the DFP spokesperson said, "Since Shah Sahib was released in 2011, he has been kept under house detention for a period of 27 months and 4 days which also include 127 Friday and 9 Eid prayers. In 2015, he was detained for a period of 176 days and barred from offering 38 Friday and 2 Eid prayers."

On the directions of Shabir Ahmad Shah, party secretary general Moulana Abdullah Tari visited the daily of Dr Qaisar Ahmad whose mother passed away. Moulana expressed condolence and solidarity on behalf of Shabir Ahmad Shah and prayed for heavenly and of the deceased.
