Iran rejects talks under threat, is prepared to reveal 'new cards' on battlefield : Ghalibaf

Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Ghalibaf has denounced US pressure tactics, including Naval blockade, to force Tehran into making a deal and warned that they were prepared to reveal ‘new cards on the battlefield.’

Ghalibaf said on X on Tuesday that President Trump is acting on delusion by imposing blockade and violating the ceasefire.

‘Trump, by imposing a blockade and violating the ceasefire, wants – in his own delusion – to turn the negotiating table into a table of surrender or to justify renewed warmongering,” he said, adding that pressure tactics would not yield any result at the negotiating table.

“We do not accept negotiations under the shadow of threats…Over the past two weeks, we have prepared ourselves to reveal new cards on the battlefield,” Ghalibaf added.

Ghalibaf’s remarks came as the second round of peace talks between Iran and the US remain uncertain.

Iran has so far refused to participate in the talks, asking for removal of the blockade first.
