Srinagar: A delegation of Jama’at-e-Islami Jammu & Kashmir comprises of Advocate Zahid Ali, Niyaz Ahmad and Khalid Bashir visited Mustafabad, HMT and expressed solidarity with the family of slain youth Gowhar Nazir Dar, Jama’at spokesman said in a statement.

Gowhar Nazir Dar was hit by a teargas shell fired by CRPF personnel on November, 7.

In a statement to KNS, while speaking at the occasion, Advocate Zahid Ali expressed solidarity on behalf of Jama’at and express grave concern on the death of Gowhar.

While condemning the act, he said Gowhars killing is a worst kind of state terrorism. Oppressive forces are not in a mood to let the oppressed people of state to express their anger against this state sponsored terror.

Jama’at demands an impartial judicial probe of this heart rending incident so that men in uniform who are involved in this brutal act are given exemplary punishment. People here have been suffering for demanding their basic right of self-determination since 1947 and it is the main cause of their oppression and suppression by the Indian forces. (KNS)
