Jammu, May 21 (UNI) The Bhalwal Cricket Club on Saturday defeated Singh Challengers Club in the pre-qualifiers round of the ongoing Jammu Premier League cricket tournament being played at Gharota playfield in Akhnoor here.
Batting first, Bhalwal Cricket Club scored 175 runs for the loss of two wickets but Singh Challengers Cricket Club was bowled out for 156 by the winning side.
Senior Army officials of Military Station Akhnoor complimented the teams for their performances.
Sachin Thakur from the winning side was declared man of the match for his 93 runs.
Naseeb Singh, Sarpanch, Seri Pandita was the special invitee during the match.
The tournament is being organized by the Nagrota based White Knight Corps.
Best 10 teams from each district in the Jammu region will be playing in the league matches round starting from June 2.
