“These crackdowns amount to violation of the human rights as the right of movement of the people is badly affected and they are forced to stop their routine work besides being subjected to mental harassment,” a Spokesperson, Jamaat-e-Islami Jammu & Kashmir said in a statement to KNS.

During the night-hours crackdown of Dogripora village near Awantipora, two children got injured by pellet injuries and the worst ever traffic jam caused at the highway near Awantipora subjected the commuters to an unprecedented suffering.

During the traffic jam, some CRPF personnel among the convoy fired indiscriminately resulting in the injuries to three passersby without any fault.

Jamaat-e-Islami Jammu and Kashmir demands stern action against the erring cops whose irresponsible, illegal and unjustified firing injured five innocent people, including two children.

Jamaat also extends its solidarity with the suffering people and those injured due to unwarranted firing of the Indian forces personnel. (KNS)
