Army on Monday paid solemn tribute to Capt Aman Kumar Singh, who laid down his life while on operational duty in Kupwara district of north Kashmir.
In a post on X, Army’s Srinagar based Chinar Corps said the officer’s courage, dedication and unwavering commitment to duty would continue to inspire soldiers.
“Chinar Corps honours the supreme sacrifice of Braveheart Capt Aman Kumar Singh, while on operational duty in Kupwara district. His courage and dedication will forever inspire us. Chinar Warriors salute the valour and sacrifice of the Braveheart. We stand in solidarity with the bereaved family and are committed to their well-being,” Army said on X.
While the Army did not specify the exact cause of death, sources said Capt Aman Kumar Singh, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest on Sunday while performing duty in a forward area of the Nowgam sector in Kupwara district.
