J&K: IED defused in Thanamandi area of Rajouri

Security forces on Saturday defused an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in Thanamandi area of Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir.

Police sources here said that during a search operation launched by the Police, Army and Special Operation Group, the party recovered an IED in Tarangad area.

“The explosive was seized on the spot and was defused on the spot,” they added.

However, the area was cordoned and search operations continued, they stated.
